Experience of using the solution "Normacor" for normothermic cardioplegia
Purpose of the study
To evaluate the efficacy and safety of the solution "Normacor" in cardiac surgery in patients with hemodynamically significant coronary artery disease and myocardial damage, both during emergency and planned interventions due to coronary heart disease and previous myocardial infarction.
Spontaneous return of the heart to normal rhythm occurred in more than 85% of patients
Spontaneous restoration of sinus rhythm after aortic clamp removal occurred in 86% of patients. Of the remaining nine patients, electrical impulse therapy was administered, and five required temporary pacemaker placement.
- 86%Spontaneous
- 9%Electropulse therapy
- 5%Temporary pacing
When using Normacor cardioplegia, inotropic support was not required in 3 out of 4 patients
Inotropic support to varying degrees was required by 26 out of 100 patients.
- 26%yes
- 74.00%no
Intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP) was not required
No patient in the Normacor group required intra-aortic balloon counterpulsation.
- 0%yes
- 100.00%no
Conclusion
Blood cardioplegia with the solution "Normacor" under normothermia conditions provides sufficient protection of the myocardium in patients with coronary heart disease and previous myocardial infarction within 66±21 minutes of myocardial ischemia, provided that the drug dosage regimen is followed according to the instructions.
